Interested in joining us?  Then here's what happens next:

The next step can be to ring or email us and arrange to pop in for an informal chat and tour.  Alternatively you could fill in the online application form or download the paper copy.  It's very short!  After that we will take up references and if they are OK we'll arrange for you to come for an induction and discuss what you would like to do it.  Then with a training session booked, you're all set to go!

Refurbishment Centre Manager (Volunteer)

What attracted you to volunteering for TWAM and to this role in particular?

I was introduced to TWAM by someone from church the day I retired - at that time I never imagined I would end up running a site!

Tell us briefly about a typical day for you at the centre?

A typical day normally starts by me setting up what tools need to be refurbished ready for that days volunteers.  Whilst they are volunteering as well as doing some refurbishment myself I’m on hand to provide them with any help they need

As a volunteer yourself, what is your favourite thing about volunteering ?

It's great to get out and meet other people and not get bored but at the same time to know you're making a real difference

Tool Refurbisher

What attracted you to volunteering for TWAM and to this role in particular?

I think that one of the biggest attractions for me was the opportunity to learn new skills whilst supporting a good cause at the same time.

What is a typical volunteering shift for you like?

A typical day at the centre can be quite varied.  I unlock, make tea, chat to the ‘inmates’ (Also known as the other volunteers!),  unload cars bringing tools, work on refurbishing tools, sort tools and wash up. Whatever needs doing I am happy to do it

What is your favourite thing about volunteering?

We have a great mix of people volunteering at the Kenilworth centre so one of my favourite things is meeting with all the different people.
