Volunteer role description
Where will I be volunteering?
Our main accounts team is based at TWAM Head Office, Ipswich. There are also opportunities in some of the centres who handle their own basic accounts
What commitment is expected from me?
It would be really helpful if you volunteered regularly, ideally on an agreed day/s every week
What will I be helping to achieve?
That all our accounts are kept accurately, that all money received is banked promptly and claims for Gift Aid are made.
What are the main things I will be doing?
Assisting with keeping our accounts up to date at all times
Preparing donations for banking
Helping work on and submitting our regular Gift Aid claims.
What strengths and skills will be helpful for this role?
You need to be good with numbers to do this role. Experience working with spreadsheets is important as these will be complex. Some experience of accounting would also be helpful though not essential.
What support can I expect to receive?
A Full induction and volunteer handbook on starting. A named contact whilst you are volunteering and further training as required.
